Investment Analyst
This position supports the Managing Director of Global Public Equity, Deputy Chief Investment Officer, and Chief Investment Officer with the Global Public Equity asset class that comprises 40% of the SERS portfolio. This position will be filled at an entry level or experienced investment analyst depending on the successful candidate's education and experience.

Work involves summarizing data on current and long term trends, investment risks, and economic influences pertinent to investments in SERS' public equity investments in accordance with the State Employees' Retirement Code, other applicable state, federal, and international laws and regulations, and the SERS State of Investment Policy. This position performs qualitative and quantitative analyses of overall public equity investments, individual fund managers, and fund manager performance.

To be considered for the entry level analyst position, candidates must have a bachelor's degree in economics, business, or a related field; to qualify as an experienced investment analyst, candidates should have a bachelor's degree in economics, business, or a related field and at least two years of relevant work experience in investment management.

Managing Director - Global Public Equity
This position manages the Global Public Equity portfolio for SERS in accordance with the State Employees' Retirement Code, other applicable state, federal, and international laws and regulations, and the SERS Statement of Investment Policy. SERS is governed by an 11-member board that ultimately makes investment manager hiring decisions.

The Global Public Equity asset class comprises 40% of the SERS portfolio. This position is responsible for the structure, board recommendations, and oversight of this externally managed asset class. This position works closely with SERS' Chief Investment Officer, legal staff, and board members.

The ideal candidate will have an advanced degree or professional certification and more than four years investment management work experience in global public equity or related investment area; and have considerable knowledge of global public equity asset allocation, performance measures, and methodologies used to evaluate managers.

Managing Director - Fixed Income/Credit Strategies
This position manages the Fixed Income/Credit Strategies portfolio for SERS in accordance with the State Employees' Retirement Code, other applicable state, federal, and international laws and regulations, and the SERS Statement of Investment Policy. SERS is governed by an 11-member board that ultimately makes investment manager hiring decisions.

The Fixed Income/Credit Strategies asset class comprises approximately 30% of the SERS portfolio. This position is responsible for the structure, board recommendations, and oversight of this externally managed asset class. This position works closely with SERS' Chief Investment Officer, legal staff, and board members.

The ideal candidate will have an advanced degree or professional certification and more than four years investment management work experience in fixed income, diversified assets, credit strategies, or related investment area; and have considerable knowledge of asset allocation, performance measures, and methodologies used to evaluate managers.

Portfolio Manager 1 - Private Equity  (2 positions)
This position assists the Managing Director in the planning, managing, and evaluation of the Private Equity program for SERS in accordance with the State Employees' Retirement Code, other applicable state, federal, and international laws and regulations, and the SERS State of Investment Policy. SERS is governed by an 11-member board that ultimately makes investment manager hiring decisions.

The Private Equity asset class comprises approximately 15% of the SERS portfolio. This position shares in the fiduciary responsibility for successfully managing the SERS investment program and creating, implementing, and executing investment strategy within legal and policy guidelines.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications: an advanced degree (such as an MBA), and/or professional certification or significant progress towards the same (such as CFA or CAIA); three to five years of experience as an institutional investor (such as a foundation, endowment, public or corporate pension or family office), or in a comparable industry such as private equity, investment banking, or consulting; considerable knowledge of asset allocation, portfolio management, performance measures and methodologies used to evaluate managers.

Portfolio Manager 1 - Real Estate
